How much does a video production cost?
Every production is unique in terms of requirements, length and complexity, which is why it is not easy to set a fixed price. However, you can expect costs of €2,000 - €15,000, depending on the size of the team involved on the day of filming, how much effort is required to plan and design the video and how long is necessary for post-production.
As an example, here is a rough overview of what services are performed, e.g. for a trailer to introduce a new project, ensemble, orchestra or concert program:
- Creation of concept/storyboard
- Preparation of the shoot (location scouting, creating an equipment list, obtaining permits, etc.)
- Arrival/set-up of film crew on location
- Shooting, artistic work with artists on set
- Post production (editing, color grading, titles, VFX if requested)
- Corrections by artists/customers
- Providing the finished material in the desired formats, prepared for all common video platforms (16:9, 9:16, 4:5, 1:1)
